David Pratt

David is the Managing Director and founded Redcap Associates following a career spanning 30 years in procurement and consultancy where he gained extensive experience creating environments to transform procurement’s performance.

Working predominantly in Europe, he now leads transformation projects for clients in both the public and private sectors driving cultural change across organisations, often to raise the profile of procurement through organisational, process and skills enhancement.

David Birch

David enjoyed a challenging career at the leading edge of procurement in the automotive sector which included board appointments at Jaguar Cars Limited and Nissan (Europe) and Consultancy Director at Purcon before becoming a member of the core team at Redcap.

David brings significant experience to clients in both the public and private sectors when developing procurement strategies in multi-site organisations. His skills are particularly effective when working with Clients to transform the culture and performance of procurement.

Sharon Betts

Following a career spanning 20 years in the legal profession as a qualified Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Sharon joined Redcap  to support the team and provide Client liaison. She provides a full range of research and analytical skills supporting procurement transformation projects.   Sharon is currently studying for membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply diploma to further her role within Redcap.

Bob Allen

Bob is a managing consultant and a core member of Redcap, leading our Scottish operation.  Based in Edinburgh, Bob has a mixed sales and procurement background providing a unique insight for clients engaged in procurement transformation. He is a specialist with market leading experience in the development and implementation of payment card systems.   In addition, he has extensive experience in both team and sole-contributor development driving excellence and high performance with client organisations.

Collin Pratt

Following a career in the publishing industry where he was responsible for IT systems development and global data integration, Collin brings a wealth of technical knowledge for the development of procurement and e-commerce systems, from specification development to data exchange and integration. His initial assignment with Redcap was to design and programme a cost assessment tool to enable organisations to effectively cost their procurement process and identify opportunities for benefits realisation from process transformation..

James Johnston

James is an experienced procurement programme manager in both the private and public sector. He has held many senior roles in procurement, many of which have been collaborative projects with numerous stakeholders. He was the instigator, when at the West Midlands Centre of Excellence, of the first online regional supplier database which provided data for councils to identify, compare and aggregate their regional supplier spend. This also showed geographically where the suppliers operated from, thereby ensuring an equitable opportunity for the region’s local businesses and sub-contractors.

Virginia Dean

Virginia is a CIPS Assessor and has developed supply chain professionals at all levels for over 18 years.  She is legally qualified and presents contract and legal learning very effectively. In addition she leads learning programmes covering procurement operations, negotiation and effective risk management. Virginia has provided specialist support for organisations in the Health, Emergency Service and manufacturing sectors as well as leading procurement programmes for West Suffolk College and the University of East Anglia.

David is an International Business Consultant based in the UK. With a background in sales and sales management, David has spent the last twenty years helping people from both the sales side and the buyer’s side to realise their negotiating potential. He has helped people to improve their negotiation skills across the world and in 2008 worked in Moscow, Kiev, Prague, New York, Beijing, London and Manchester. David believes that by actively engaging people in the training sessions knowledge is transferred to usable skills in the shortest possible time.

Trevor Kitching

Trevor has over 25 years of consultancy experience focused on the delivery of procurement and supply chain  best practice in the private & public sectors.  He is currently working with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply on promoting and delivering the Institute’s corporate certification service

Sam Kelsey

Sam is a learning specialist with 10 years experience supporting teams and individuals to achieve their goals and deliver great performance. A skilled coach and trainer, Sam is unafraid of asking the provocative question or challenging the status quo, in search of better results. Sam possesses training, coaching, leadership and business experience with ‘blue chip’ companies, charities and private individuals from a variety of disciplines.

Jacques Maupas

Jacques is Redcap’s foriegn correspondent! Based in Lyon, France, Jacques brings a continental flair to strategic procurement and has broad experience of transforming procurement performance across Europe as well as leading programmes to coach and train procurement skills. With experience gained in public, automotive, telecoms, financial, utility and extractive sectors.

Mark Mower

Mark is a public sector specialist managing over 350 consultancy, training and research projects in central/local government, police and fire since the 1990s. Now a trainer and management consultant, Mark has previous senior management experience with both PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Improvement and Development Agency.
