2013 Procurement Conference ~ Chaired by David Pratt

David Pratt acheives Fellowship of ISMM

Anglia Business Academy’s New Website is in development

Anglia Business academy is currently developing its new website which should be published in early August, so watch this space for more news….

The new website will provide the full range of information for students and businesses who plan grow their potential. The Academy will not just focus purely on professional purchasing training a wider approach is taken to help organisations develop their skills and potential across the commercial interface. Including purchasing, selling and interpersonal skills as well as helping businesses understand the complexities of the public sector procurement & tendering process.

Anglia Business Academy acheives CIPS Study Centre Accreditation

The Anglia Business Accademy is the newest Study Centre in the UK to provide professional procurement training enabling participants to acheive Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply membership (MCIPS). located in East Anglia we will be initially be providing programmes in  Norfolk and Suffolk.

The Anglia Business Academy, launched in March 2012 targets the commercial growth of business leading to  the Development of a Sustainable Supply Chain across East Anglia and the UK. Skills programmes focus on two specific areas  of profesional development:

1) Procurement Skills, and

2) Supplier development providing the foundation skills to enable business growth and improved management and leadership across the Buyer-Seller interface.

In East Anglia and other rural areas of the UK it is recognised that business development can be slow.  Many businesses  are suffering a growth inertia because commercial engagement with larger business and the public sector can be very frustrating, infact disheartning, because of the often slow and teadious procurement process.

The Anglia Business Academy supported by Redcap Associates is targeing this gap to provide to support to organisations (from SMEs to Corporates) that are focused on growth and profitability by providing a  range of effective training and development programmes.

For procurement teams that development can be through the CIPS accademic programme by providing support from level 2 to level 6 to enhance skills and professionalism.

Redcap develops Facebook

David Pratt, Redcap AssociatesWe are developing our Facebook page to enable people who wish to stay connected by social media to connect by “liking” us.

This is part of our Socialmedia strategy which is changing and developing. We have realised that blogging through Twitter delivers a lot of “spam” messages targeted at local business to our global contacts on Linked in. We propose that will change, and we are currently  working with our media team to un ravel the connections to simplify our messaging.

We plan  to change the style of blogs and posts to deliver informative messages with a selection of  best practice tips on a range of subjects. So if you thought of disconnecting us please be patient we are changing to deliver a message only once to each medium.

Now I have set the challenge we will deliver.
